Set up a discount code in Shopify
- Log in to your Shopify account and navigate to the Discounts section in the admin dashboard.
- Click on the Create Discount button and choose the Discount Code option.
- Enter a unique code for your employee discount (e.g. EMPLOYEE10) and set the discount amount or percentage.
- Specify any restrictions or limitations for the discount code, such as minimum purchase amount or specific products.

Create a customer group for employees
- Go to the Customers section in the admin dashboard and click on the Create Customer Group button.
- Name the customer group (e.g. Employees) and add any relevant tags or notes.
- Add your employees to the customer group by selecting their profiles and assigning them to the group.

Apply the discount code to the employee customer group
- Go back to the Discounts section and edit the employee discount code you created earlier.
- Under the Customer eligibility section, select the option to apply the discount to specific customer groups.
- Choose the employee customer group you created in Step 2 to ensure that only employees can use the discount code.

Communicate the employee discount to your team
- Inform your employees about the new discount code and how to use it when making a purchase on your Shopify store.
- Provide clear instructions on where to enter the discount code during the checkout process.
- Monitor the usage of the employee discount code to ensure that it is being used correctly and by authorized employees only.
