Set up employee accounts in Shopify POS
- Log in to your Shopify POS account and navigate to the settings section.
- Click on "Employees" and add new employee accounts for each staff member who will be eligible for the employee discount.
- Assign unique login credentials and permissions to each employee account.

Create a discount code for employee discounts
- In the Shopify POS dashboard, go to the "Discounts" section and click on "Create discount code."
- Name the discount code something like "Employee Discount" and set the discount amount or percentage.
- Under the "Usage limits" section, select "Limit to a single use per customer" to prevent abuse of the employee discount.

Apply the employee discount at checkout
- When an employee is making a purchase in the Shopify POS system, have them log in with their unique employee account.
- Once the items are added to the cart, apply the employee discount code at checkout.
- The discount will be automatically applied to the total amount due, reflecting the employee's discount.

Monitor and track employee discounts
- Regularly review the employee discount usage in the Shopify POS system to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Keep track of which employees are using the discount code and monitor any suspicious activity.
- Adjust the discount code settings or revoke employee access if necessary to maintain the integrity of the employee discount program.
